Mama Mio SingTel. What ARE you doing?
There were two posts in the Straits Times Online forum today amd both of them were about our local telco SingTel. One of them was by this guy, questioning SingTel's billing. In any case, according to lis letter, her said, "SingTel billed me on some extra air time charges when I have not even utilised all my free air time. I called the SingTel hotline and was told that there was a system error." SingTel's reply to him was classic. He was told that "SingTel cannot assure me that billing on the air time charges will be 100 per cent accurate."
Whoa. Stop right there folks. Does this mean that SingTel has the carte blanche to charge people like that, and then claim that their air time charges are not accurate?
The second letter was a reply from SingTel to a customer who complained about the SingTel MIO service. From what I know, it has been touted as Missing In Operation. What followed in the explanation by their Corporate Communications "manager" was that "The response to our recently launched Generation mio services exceeded our expectations and caused a temporary strain on our resources."
As usual. SingTel. Sing and Tell. If you jokers want to roll out a service, test it out extensively first. You gaffes has made you as a telco really look bad. What are you guys doing when you are not buying up stakes in telcos overseas? Screwing up at home? Well, what can I say? All I can say is that I am GLAD I am not a SingTel customer. Never have and never will be.
